Is 85% good? What are you measuring

What are you missing by what you are measuring?

I wonder how long the standard 'measure' for our kids will be based on a number. Take a step back to think what an 85% achievement actually means - did the kid shoot the lights out and excel, or did they have a bad day and get well below their norm? Did they put in maximum effort, did they improve or did they cruise through.

It's time we started to measure effort and energy and not a number.
